Polishing The Punch

This week the Polish phase started. We were very happy with the features we managed to include in the previous sprints & were ready to kick off the polish phase. Here are some of the things we improved.

This weeks achievements:

  • Now the game starts with a few boxes already on the arena, this cuts out the slow start of each round
  • The character's animations got an overhaul, now there's 3 punch animations that are randomly selected. on top of this the idle , run & victory animations have been updated.

  • We experimented with Overhead player hud, but decided against it to avoid the clutter.
  • In 2V2 Team mode: Players can now punch back  blocks punched by their teammate, even make them change direction while doing so.
  • Scoreboard implemented with art assets


  • Option menu implemented with art assets
  • Pause menu implemented with art assets
  • Updated some of the particle effects and the addition of pickup effects
  • Completely new textures and models for more floor tile variation
  • Added Post processing nodes
  • Main lighting improved (as seen below)
  • The HUD has gotten an upgrade.


  • Updated Player Icons to match with the textures
